This will help keep the events list easy to scan quickly. Please only publish images that you own, or ones that are not protected by copyright.

This thumbnail image floats to the left of the text. The text of the paragraph flows around the right side of the thumbnail. When someone clicks on the thumbnail, the original full-size image will display. Here's how to do this.

Create a Folder

Click on Media Manager in the left column of the edit window. Click on the blue box in front of New directory. Type your name, or the name of your group, in the Name field. Click on save.

You just created a folder to keep all your images in one place. Now you won't have to look through everyone else's images to find yours. You can store images there and use them when you create listings.

Upload an Image

In the Media Manager, click on your folder. Click on the blue box in front of Add files. Click on the Browse button. Now you're looking at files in your computer. Navigate to the image you want to upload. Click on the name of the image file to select it. Click on Open to open the file in the Browse field.

You can type a title into the Title field if you want. This title only shows in the Media Manager, not on the site. If you don't create a title, the name of the file will automatically be used as the title.

Check the Private box if you don't want other writers to use the image. Leave the box unchecked to share the image with other writers.

Click on the send button. You just uploaded an image file to use in your entries.

Link to Your Image

In the toolbar at the top of the Content window, notice the second-to-last icon, the Media chooser. The Media chooser creates a link to the image file. The image file remains stored in the Media Manager, so you don't have to upload it again the next time you want to use it.

You can learn the functions of all the toolbar buttons by hovering your mouse over them, and reading the labels that appear.

In the blog editor, either create a new entry, or open an entry you want to add a picture to. Click at the top left of a paragraph in the Content box. Click on the Media chooser toolbar button. Find the picture you want to use, and click on the square blue button to the right of the image. (Don't click on the blue trashcan icon next to it, that's for deleting the image.)

Under Image size, click on the button next to thumbnail. Under Image alignment, click on the button next to Left. Under Image insertion, click on the button next to As a link to original image. At the bottom, click on Insert media.

If you're done editing your entry, click on the save button at the bottom of the page.
